About the Reading Group

This year, the group will support teachers in their reading experience of Native American authors and help them think of standards, students, our shared history, and current times. Our November books will offer a broad understanding of the history of Indigenous Peoples in the United States. MCTE board members will facilitate future discussions of other books written by Native American authors that highlight topics from the November discussion.

Come with the books read, questions to ask, connections, and any ideas or expertise that you are willing to share. The discussion is free, but you need to provide your own books. Please register so we can send you a link to join us. We look forward to learning with you!
