MCTE Spring Conference ~ May 2-3, 2024

Changing Landscapes

Holiday Inn & Suites | Duluth, MN

Keynote speakers include Alison Criss, NCTE's 2022 Outstanding Middle Level Educator; Margi Preus, writer (Windswept, Heart of a Samurai, and The Village of Scoundrels, among others)Cody Miller, English Leadership Quarterly editor and former chair of NCTE's LGBTQIA+ Advisory Committee; and Gary Eldon Peter, educator and writer (The Complicated Calculus [and Cows] of Carl Paulsen).

There will also be 30+ Breakout Sessions over this 2-day event—including topics such as AI, the science of reading, civil discourse, writing, and teaching diverse literature. Strands include elementary, middle level, high school, and college-level presentations on a variety of reading and literacy related topics each day. Come join in the fun!

Registration includes MCTE membership, breakfast, and lunch each day. WiFi will be available. CEUs will be provided at the end of the conference.
